The Frick Collection, along with its Director, Anne L. Poulet, invites its members and supporters to travel to various locations within the United States and elsewhere around the world. Led by a member of the Frick staff, such trips are intended to broaden the participant’s knowledge of artworks in the Collection, as well as put specific works and artists in context.
Past trips have included visits to Châteaux of the Loire Valley, France, to Madrid and Bordeaux in connection with the exhibition Goya’s Last
Works, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to visit the birthplace of Henry Clay Frick, to Dresden, Berlin, and Baden-Baden, Germany, to Versailles for The Frick Collection and
French Heritage Society Seminars
in French Architecture and
Decorative Arts, to Italy to explore the world of the Veneto and the North Italian Courts, and to California to visit museums and private collections that parallel or were inspired by the collecting style and philanthropy of Henry Clay Frick.
