Taking a cue from the highly acclaimed special exhibition George Stubbs (1724–1806): A Celebration, the Young Fellows of The Frick Collection, with Angel Sanchez, presented a gala “Hunt Ball” on March 1, 2007. This also was reflected in the dress code, “Black Tie, Britches, Dress to Exhilarate. Held in support of the museum’s Education Program, the Frick’s annual Young Fellows Ball has been named consistently as one of the Parties of the Year.
The Event Chairmen were Lydia Fenet, Tinsley Mortimer and Elisabeth Saint-Amand.
The Honorary Chairmen were Marina Rust Connor, Lauren du Pont, Nathalie Gerschel Kaplan, Martha Loring, and Marianna Sabater.
DJ Pat "Caramel" Regne began spinning records at 8:30pm, continuing throughout the evening. The lavender-lit Music Room was evocative of an English country house sitting room with leather club chairs and chintz upholstered seating, a faux fireplace, and other elements.
Moët Hennessy USA generously provided the refreshments for the evening. Gift bags provided by Christie’s included product from Angel Sanchez, Aramis, Estée Lauder, the Museum Shop of The Frick Collection, and Town & Country.
